Day 1 : Arrival in Baku

  • Arrival at Baku International Airport;
  • On arrival in Baku you will meet with our guide who will be with you through your whole tour in Azerbaijan
  • Transfer to Hotel by private bus;

Day 2 : Baku Sightseeing Tour

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Visit to Highland Park to view the beautiful panorama of Baku City and Caspian Sea, as well as watching the magnificent Flame Towers of Baku;
  • Tour in Old City of Baku- the most ancient part of the city dates back to Palaeolithic period.
  • Sightseeing of city walls and more than 20 historical buildings including Maiden Tower and Shirvankhakhs’ palace which were inscribed to UNESCO World Heritage List;
  • Walking tour across Nizami street- one of the most famous shopping streets in Baku
  • Lunch
  • Fountain Square of Baku-a public gathering place, especially after business hours and during the weekend. `
  • Sightseeing of Azerbaijan Carpet Museum- a museum that has the largest collection of Azerbaijani carpets in the world. The structure of the building is intended to look like a rolled carpet;
  • Walking Excursion in Baku Boulevard;
  • Heydar Aliyev Center- a building complex designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid.
  • The building is very distinctive for its unique architectural design and flowing;
  • Dinner in hotel;

Day 3: Absheron Peninsula & Gobustan Museum and Mud Volcanoes

  • Breakfast in hotel;
  • Leaving the hotel for Gala Ethnographical Museum-dedicated to the Medieval Period history of the Azerbaijan people;
  • Burning Mountain (Yanardag)- one of the “must see” natural wonders located about 25 km from the capital Baku in Mehemedi village of Absheron. A 10 m long wall of fire on the hill is never extinguishes;
  • Ateshgah temple– the most famous is the well-preserved Zoroastrian of fire-worshippers.
  • Lunch in 50 Qepik Restaurant;
  • Tour to Gobustan Petroglyphs– the most important historical site in Azerbaijan containing very important elements of ancient lifestyle of stone age human beings..Settled since the Stone Age, the area is one of the main and most ancient museums of rock engravings (petroglyphs) in the world. The most ancient petroglyphs identified here are considered as belonging to the 10-8th century BC.
  • Mud volcanoes- very unique site where almost 300 mud volcanoes are located. This number means, about 45% of the planet’s mud volcanoes are located in this small area. In 2001, one of the mud volcanoes erupted flames 15 meters high from the ground. Fortunately, for now there are no much activity going on there and it is safe to visit Mud volcanoes.
  • Return to hotel and rest;

Day 4: Visit to Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory and archeological excavation of Middle Age Agsu city

  • Breakfast in hotel and getting ready to start one of the most interesting trip of your student tour to Azerbaijan. 
  • Mausoleum- located in Shamakhy- Maraza region of Azerbaijan. The mausoleum is a wonderful example of Shirvan architectural school. According to the scripts found on the monument, the construction date was 1402 and the architect was “…the son of ustad Haji”. A funeral text on the wall indicates the name- Shirvanshahs – Ibrahim I of Shirvan- ruler of Shirvanshakhs State.
  • Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory- Established in 1959, Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory is located on the eastern slope of Shamakhi region of Azerbaijan at a height of 1500 m. Scientific research at the Observatory is based on two aspects- Dynamics and Physics of Stellar Medium. The observatory measured the light polarisation of Comet d’Arrest, during the Soviet period. The main instrument – reflecting telescope produced in Germany, with a diameter of the mirror of 2 meters and which was turned over for operation in 1966 and is the biggest telescope of the South Caucasus.
  • Lunch
  • Visit to Azgranata factory- One of the the leading juice and wine factory in Caucasus
  • Ruins of Medieval Akhsu city – Agsu Town become periodically a square for military operations, exposed to demolitions was last destroyed by Shirvan khan Mustafa khan to avoid enemy siege on the eve of Iranian army’s attack commanded by Abbas Mirza in 1806 and the city life ended with that. Medieval Agsu Town covers about 39, 8 hectare field. The entire site was fortified with many mighty defense systems being in a deep ditch and shaft form. The site reflects the life of medieval estate.
  • Returning back to Baku

Day 5: University/ College & Company visits & Study in Azerbaijan presentation

  • Breakfast in hotel
  • Visit to Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy ( ADA University), getting information about the international scholarship (depending on the interest, other universities might be offered as well)
  • University tour
  • Lunch in University canteen
  • Visit to a local company in Baku (depending on the interest of the students alternatives will be provided)
  • Dinner in hotel
  • Overnight

Day 6: Entertainment& Socialising day

  • Breakfast in hotel
